ABOUT ME

Christopher W. Selna is not a national bestseller. Nor has won any writing awards. In fact, he has no literary background at all. He's simply a daydreamer with two cats, a son, and, yes, a wife. He's the author of some earlier self-published books that aren't worth a lick. They were more so for practice. A former Marine, Christopher likes to stay active, whether that's swimming, rowing, or hiking. He and his family live in the Pacific Northwest and will stay there unless the Rockies keep on calling. "Memory, Memory, Go Away" is what he considers his debut novel, outside of those 'practice' novels. A second will be added in the upcoming year.
My Story
Christopher William Selna was born in Mission Viejo, California, and was raised in Arizona. He now lives in the Pacific Northwest. After high school in Phoenix, Arizona, Christopher enlisted in the Marines, where he served for 4 years and was honorably discharged 2 months before 9/11. Turning down an incentive to reenlist, Christopher piled up as much cash as he could —little —and drove out to sunny California to pursue an acting and screenwriting career. Not long after, he learned that acting would never be his gig. He did find a significant part of himself that had been missing his whole life: writing. After years of struggling to balance an alcohol and drug-induced social life with the sacrifice and commitment required to become a writer, Christopher left everything behind. He moved to Oregon, where he lived as a recluse and became the writer he is today. But to regain balance in life, and not fall off the cliff like most recluse writers do, Christopher made moves, and years later, he fell in love and started a family, while never giving up on his writing. He and his family now live in Bothell, Washington. He has finished at least a half dozen novels, but most of them are too raw to be shown as anything but practice. “Memory, Memory, Go Away,” he believes to be his true debut novel.
